Set-Up

If you would like to use the blink app, please get in touch with the blink support team, who will add the mobile app integration to your account and send you a Miura device.

How To Use

Connecting your phone to the Miura device

Download the blink app from the Apple Store or Google Play Store. Once downloaded, open the app and log in with your blink account credentials.

Info

There is an option to enable biometrics (fingerprint check or facial recognition) for enhanced security.

You will then be prompted to connect to a Miura device. Please ensure Bluetooth is switched on and the Miura device is charged and nearby. Go to the Bluetooth Settings on your smartphone. On the Miura device click the Bluetooth button - this will cause the blue light to turn on and off rapidly. In the Bluetooth settings on your smartphone, you will be able to see the Miura device. Connect to the device - you will need to verify that you are connecting to the correct device. Once connected you will then be redirected to the terminal page where you will be able to start taking payments.

You should only need to go through this process once. When you next open up the app, it will connect to that Miura device automatically.

Taking Payments

Enter the amount you want to charge in the amount field and a reference in the reference field. The reference can only contain simple characters (a-z, A-Z, 0-9) and is limited to up to 15 characters. You also cannot re-use the same reference with the same phone. If you wish you can leave this field empty.

Once the amount and reference are set correctly, click Proceed. A pop-up will show the payment is in process and the Miura device will prompt you to present a card. The customer can tap the card on the device screen or insert the card into the device and enter their pin into the pin pad. Once the transaction has been processed successfully, you will be redirected to the success page, where you can input an email to send a transaction receipt to the customer.

Reporting

To view the payments made through the app, navigate to the Reporting page and click the mobile payments Mobile Payments tab - displaying this displays a list of the most recent app transactions. You will be able to see the reference you typed in the app under User Reference.

If left empty, it will show the date and time of the transaction.
