If a customer has been charged or an amount is pending in their account; the most common reason is that the payment has attempted to authorise but has not been fully approved and as such the transaction won't be in the settled transactions list and sent to a merchant's depositing bank account.

The authorised payment will most likely bounce back to the customer, in some instances we can provide the authorisation code or ARN number, which can allow their bank to retrieve the funds (which are essentially in limbo) faster.

Why would a payment be authorised but not settled? The most common reasons are: the website page connection has dropped, terminal connection dropped, card has been removed too fast from the terminal.
