Ensure the device is charged

Turn the device on using the power buttonConnectivity

There are two ways to connect your Miura 020 card reader to the Blink app:

  • via Bluetooth

  • via Wi-Fi

Connecting your Miura - WiFi

  • Selecting the yellow arrow will bring up the main menu

  • Select option 2 ‘WiFi Config'

  • Select ‘Add Network’

  • Locate your WiFi network

  • Enter the password

  • Allow 30 seconds for the device to connect

Connecting your Miura - Bluetooth

On a separate device i.e. a mobile phone, turn your Bluetooth option on to allow bluetooth tethering

Select option 1 ‘Bluetooth’

  1. First, we need to connect the card reader to the Wi-Fi network.
    Press the green button (✔) to turn on the card reader (or wake it up from standby mode),

  2. open the menu by pressing the yellow 'left-pointing arrow' button,

  3. select 'Wi-Fi Config' by pressing the '2' button,

  4. select 'Add Network' by pressing the '3' button,

  5. select the network from the list

  6. use card reader keys to enter the network passphrase, confirm, and do not exit the network info screen

  7. go to app settings -> Card reader

  8. tap the 'ADD WI-FI CARD READER' button and enter PORT and IP ADDRESS information displayed on the card reader

Connecting your Miura - Bluetooth

  1. Press the green button (✔) to turn on the card reader (or wake it up from standby mode),

  2. open the menu by pressing the yellow 'left-pointing arrow' button

  3. select 'Bluetooth' by pressing the '1' button

  4. select 'Start Pairing' by pressing the '3' button

  5. go to your mobile device Settings -> Bluetooth and turn on the Bluetooth connection,

  6. select the card reader from the list of available Bluetooth devices.

  7. A PIN will display on the screen of the mobile device.
    Compare it with the passkey displayed on the card reader, it needs to be the same key.

  8. Press Enter (✔) on the card reader to confirm that the PIN and the passkey are the same.

  9. Click OK on the mobile device to complete the pairing. Select it to pair.

Here's how to unpair a Miura M020 card reader from the device:

  1. open the menu by pressing the yellow 'left-pointing arrow',

  2. select 'Manage Pairs' by pressing the 2 button,

  3. select the device by pressing the button displayed next to the listed device,

  4. confirm with the green button (✔).

Note: The Bluetooth connectivity range is limited so we highly recommend keeping the card reader as close as possible to its paired device during the course of payment to avoid any errors.

Taking a Payment

  • Minimum transaction is 50 pence

  • Click 'start payment' on the Blink App

  • Enter the amount and unique reference

  • Click proceed, this will send the information to the connected Miura device

  • Payments can be taken with contactless or with Chip and Pin

  • A transaction receipt will be displayed; this can be sent via email

 

Troubleshooting - First Steps

  • Hard re-set via putting a pin in the re-set button (on the right hand side) and select option 2

  • Clear the cache of the Blink App
