Overview

Within In the Requested Payments payments tab, you will be able to track the PayLinks, meaning you can see if and how the customer has interacted with a PayLink as well as can track the payment links you have created.

This allows you to view the customer's interaction with a payment link and cancel or resend the link or reminder. You can also export this data to CSV.

To track a PayLink, select Requested Payments

Select Requested payments under the Payments tab

How does it work?

This page displays all

PayLinks

payment links that have been created, showing the

Customers

created date/time, customer's name, email/phone number, reference, amount,

date/time and status of each one.Locate the desired PayLink using the filters available

payment method, payment type, reminder, which MID was used to request the payment and status.

You can use the available filters to find the payment link you want.

Date - This is the date and time of the

PayLink

payment link’s creation, not the actual payment.

  • Select Search - Select from Customer Name, Customer Email, Customer Mobile, Reference or Amount, and enter the desired text/number in the following field.

  • User - Filters the PayLinks created by different Users.

  • Status - This is the status of the

    PayLink request sent by the merchant, not the actual

    payment from the customer.

    1. Paid - The customer has processed the transaction on the payment page.

    (This does NOT mean that the amount was captured, just that the payment page has been used for a transaction. It may have been declined).
  • Unpaid - Customer has not attempted to process a transaction.

  • Cancelled - PayLink has been cancelled. The payment page will no longer exist.

  • Each PayLink has an action button
    1. Unpaid - The payment link has been sent but not paid.

    2. Cancelled - The payment link has been cancelled, meaning the payment page will no longer exist.

    3. Resent - You have resent the payment.

    4. Payment attempted - The customer attempted to make a payment, but the transaction did not go through.

    5. Expired - The payment link was not completed before the expiry date, and is now expired and unable for use.

    Select merchant name/ID - Filter the payment links based on the Merchant ID (blink page) they were created under.

    User - Filters the payment links created by different users.

    Payment method - This displays the payment method (open banking, card or Direct Debit) that your customer used to pay you.

    Payment type- This displays the type of payment that this payment link has (e.g. Sale, Preauth, Verify, Repeat payment)

    Select Search - Select the desired field and enter text/number for Customer Name, Email, Customer Mobile, Reference or Amount.

    Each payment link has action button(s):

    • If the customer has processed the transaction, you will see a “View transactions” button.
      This will take you to the Transaction

    History page, where you can view the actual transaction and its status
    • history page to view the transaction and status.

      • If the payment type was “Repeat payment”, an additional button named “View schedule” is displayed. This will take you to the Manage repeat payments page to view the actual schedule that was created and its progress.

    • If the

    a ”Resend button” and a “Cancel” button

      • Resend -

      • Opens a popup displaying the link

      • Cancel - This cancels the

      • payment link request. The payment page will no longer exist.

    When resending a payment link, the customer can amend the email or mobile number originally used.

    Please note: The url for the payment link will not change, so the original recipient of the payment link will still have access to it

    Additional details

    Select a PayLink to expand it. This displays a breakdown of the PayLinks status, including when it was initially generated or sent, if the link has been opened yet, if the link was resent and if it has had a transaction

    Reminders can also be changed or turned off.

    If a payment link has a reminder active, there will be a clock symbol at the end of the line.

    Click the clock symbol to switch off or change the frequency of the reminder.

    Additional details

    To view more details about a payment link, simply select it and it will expand to show you further details.

    This includes information such as when the payment link was created, when it was sent, whether the recipient has opened the link and if the link has been resent.

    It also displays the

    User

    user who created the

    PayLink

    payment link, and (if there was one) the added note.
