Overview

Today's Blink transactions show any transaction you have taken on Blink that day (via Request A Payment, Take A Payment or Blink page). This page has limited options of further actions to perform.

Recent Transactions / Today's Blink Transactions

Navigation

To access Today’s Blink transactions page, either select View Transactions on the dashboard or navigate to Today’s Blink Transactions under Reporting on the left-hand navigation bar.

This page displays all your transactions that have been processed today on Blink. For each transaction, you can see the following:

  1. Date and Time

  2. Customer Name and Email

  3. Card details - This shows the basic card info. (card scheme, last 4 digits and expiry date)

  4. Order Reference - This contains both the custom reference and Blinks description of the transaction.

  5. Amount

  6. Status

    1. Pending

      1. Received - The gateway has received the transaction and is awaiting a response to reach its final state.

    2. Successful

      1. Captured - The transaction was successful and will be settled as soon as possible. (In most cases, this will occur overnight)

      2. Pre-Auth - The card was authenticated successfully, and the specified amount was available

      3. Verified - The authenticity of this card has been confirmed.

      4. Capture in "x" days - Displays the remaining days until the amount requested via a delay capture is taken.

    3. Unsuccessful

      1. Declined - The transaction has been declined.

      2. Referred - There has been an issue with the transaction. You will have to contact the Acquiring Bank.

      3. Cancelled - The merchant has cancelled this transaction (this can only occur on a captured transaction).

    4. Some transactions also have brackets at the end.

      1. (DC) - This indicates the transaction is related to Delay Capture.

      2. (PA) - This indicates the transaction is related to a Pre-Auth.

      3. (RF) - This indicates this is a refund.

      4. (RR) - This indicates that the transaction has been rerun from a previous transaction.

      5. (V) - This indicates that the transaction has been taken from a verified card.

  7. You can select a transaction to display further information and the available actions.

    1. The card verification responses (3DS, AVS, CV2) are shown here, in addition to the Acquiring bank, the Card Type, the Authorisation Code and the Blink Unique Reference.


Further Actions

Different types of transactions will have other actions available

  • Cancel - This will cancel the transaction, and no funds will be taken.

  • Capture - This will capture the transaction immediately. Capture is available for Pre-Auth and Delay Capture.

  • Run Transaction - This will ask for an amount to be entered and then process a new transaction; only Verified cards will have this option.

  • Receipt - You can view, print or email the receipt.
