Connecting your Sage Bank Feed

Purpose
This guide explains how to connect your Blink Payment account to Sage so your transactions appear directly in your Sage bank feed.
Once connected, you’ll be able to review and reconcile your Blink Payment transactions within Sage to keep your accounts accurate and up to date.

Before you start

  • Make sure you have access to a Sage product that supports bank feeds.

  • You’ll need to log in as a Lead user on your Blink Payment account to connect Sage and Blink.

  • Have your Sage login details ready.

  • During the BETA period, you’ll need a connection code provided by Blink Payment.

What appears in your Sage Bank Feed

Once connected, your Sage Bank Feed will show all successful Blink Payment transactions, including:

  • Virtual Terminal

  • Blink Page

  • PayLink

  • Repeat Payments

  • Open Banking

  • Card payments

  • Blink API Transactions

 

Set up steps

Step 1: Open Sage

Log in to your Sage product and go to your banking or bank feeds section.

Step 2: Add a new bank account

  1. Select the option to add or connect a bank account.

  2. Choose Bank account as the account type.

  3. Give it a clear name, such as Blink Bank, then save or continue.

Step 3: Search for Blink Payment

When prompted to select your bank, search for Blink Payment.
Select it and click Continue or Next to proceed.

Step 4: Enter your connection code

When prompted, enter the connection code provided by Blink Payment.
This temporarily links your Sage account to your Blink Payment transactions for the BETA period.

Please contact your account manager for the BETA code.

Step 5: Review your transactions

Once connected, your Blink Payment transactions will appear in your Sage bank feed.
You can now review and match transactions to your records as part of your usual reconciliation process.

 

After connection

  • Your Blink Payment transactions will update automatically in your Sage feed.

  • You’ll continue reconciling transactions manually in Sage.

  • Only users with Lead access in Blink Payment can set up this connection.

  • The connection starts in Sage — not in Blink.

Do I connect from Blink or Sage?

Start the connection from Sage. The setup happens entirely within your Sage product.

Who can connect Sage and Blink?

Only Blink Payment users with Lead access can set up the connection.

Which transactions appear in Sage?

All successful Blink Payment transactions, including Virtual Terminal, Blink Page, PayLink, Repeat Payments, Open Banking, Card, and Direct Debit.

Do I need to reconnect regularly?

No. Once connected, your feed continues syncing automatically.

Do I need the code every time?

The connection code is only required during the BETA period. After launch, setup will be automatic.
