Customiser

Overview

The customiser allows you to fully personalise your Blink Page(s) and your Merchant Shop for each MID. Changes in your Merchant Shop affect Requested Payments (PayLinks) and the “Take a Payment” page (card types and currencies)

Both cosmetic changes and functional settings can be edited using the customiser.

Navigation

Go to Customer Centre then Customiser. Alternatively, you can find this page by selecting edit on the My Blink Pages page for the Blink Page that you wish to edit.

How does it work?

Visual Customisation

We have divided the customiser page into general settings for the merchant shop (Individual MID) and settings for individual Blink Pages.

Merchant shop settings

Any update within these settings will apply to any payment taken with this Shop. This includes both payment settings (i.e. card types and currencies) and visual customisation (i.e. receipt logo and footers)

A Merchant Shop is the MID (e.g. 123456 - My Shop) you select when processing a payment; these changes will therefore be reflected on the Blink Page, Request a Payment, Take a Payment and Batch Payments.

To add your company logo to your shop, select the relevant shop and click the Add Logo icon. You will then be prompted to upload an image. Once uploaded, click Update. This will add the image across the payment options within this Merchant Shop.

The logo can be any image type (PNG, JPG, JPEG, GIF) and any size, though we recommend keeping it to 200px x 200px.

If you do not upload a logo, this Blink Shop will show the portal logo by default (See Settings), which can cause pixilation issues if the portal logo is too small.

Background Colour

The Change Colour icon allows you to change the background colour of your Blink Shop. Click the icon, and choose a colour from the options provided. You can choose a colour or enter the RGB values manually.

Settings (Merchant Shop)

Within the settings page, you can select the following options:

The page is split into 2 areas, payment settings and receipt settings.

In the payment settings tab, you can edit a range of payment based settings such as:

Currencies you would like to accept within your shop (if applicable).

When you set up a merchant account with us, you are asked in which currencies you would like to process transactions. You can request additional currencies to be added with Support. You can then toggle the currencies ON and OFF per merchant shop.

The Card Types you want to accept (you can request additional types like Amex with Support)

In the receipt settings tab you are able to:

Add a Receipt Footer, and a receipt phone number that will be used at the bottom of receipts of this Merchant Shop. The email address added here will be used to send receipts unless this gets overridden with the receipts options under Payment Preferences within the My Account section.

You can redirect your customer after completing their payment to a website of your choice using the Receipt Redirect URL. You can even set a time frame from completion to redirection using Receipt Redirect Timeout (in seconds).

Make sure you click on Save within the merchant shop settings.

Settings for individual Blink Pages

These settings are specifically for the individual blink pages, not for their parent merchant shops. You can amend and select individual pages by clicking on more if you have multiple Blink Pages.

Opening Hours

This feature shows customers when you are open and available. Click the icon (toggle on Openings Hours) and input the desired times to add opening hours. You can also add your contact details here (email and phone number) so customers know how to reach you.

Banner

Similar to the logo, you can add a banner to the footer of your Blink page by clicking the Add a Banner icon and then uploading an image. Once uploaded, click Update. It can be any image type (PNG, JPG, JPEG, GIF) and any size, though we recommend keeping it to 610px x 140px. You can also change or remove the banner.

After making any changes, click Submit to confirm the changes.


Modify Fields

These settings allow you to customise the settings of each of the fields on your blink page, significantly improving your ability to keep track of your payments in the best way possible for your business.

Visibility

If the reference or description fields are not needed, you can hide these fields.

Required

You can select which fields you require the customer to fill in.

Readonly

If you are using URL descriptors, you can also mark some fields as Readonly (e.g. Blink3sixty.co.uk/testclothingstore?amount=10), so the customer can’t change it.

Display Name

You can change the name of fields to suit your reporting needs better and choose what information you want from your customer.
(e.g. you can change Reference to Invoice Reference, Description to Message or Full Name to Company Name)

URL Descriptor

Enhanced URLs allow you to prepopulate specific fields on the Blink page using the custom URL descriptor.

Settings

In the settings tab, you can edit the URL slug of the page and what Payment Types you want to allow your customers to pay you with.
