What is classified as a change of legal entity?

A change of legal entity is where there is a change to the entity which is financially and legally responsible for those activities performed under UKAS accreditation (United Kingdom Accreditation Service).

If you are changing your legal entity, we will submit a new application to the bank and obtain a fresh merchant ID. Once it is live and everything (such as assets, gateways) is transferred, the old account can be closed to prevent further charges.

Please note there is a £250 Admin Fee for a CLE.

Please contact us at support@blinkpayment.co.uk with your merchant ID and your request in the subject, along with the below information:
 

  1. Company registration number

  2. Company’s legal entity name

  3. VAT number

  4. Main point of contact details i.e. name, mobile/phone number, email address

  5. 2 director’s DOB and residential address

  6. Trading name for the new MID 

  7. Trading address for MID 

  8. Proof of banking i.e. bank statement that shows date, company legal name, sort code and account number, IBAN 

  9. Proof of trading address i.e. utility bill showing business trading name and address

  10. Business annual turnover

  11. Card turnover

  12. ATV – average transaction value

  13. Any assets required, such as terminals, gateway?

  14. Confirmation of MID type - ECOM, Card Present, Card Not Present?

  15. Split of MID i.e. 90% ECOM, 10% Card Present

  16. ID documents for the signatory and any directors that are not British Nationals - this can be a passport, driving licence or ID card.

Once received, we can review and let you know if the bank requires anything further!
