Overview

This guide will take you through the process of adding a Blink page to a Xero invoice. This will ensure that all customer contact details are pre-populated on the Blink page. Before you begin, ensure that you have connected your Xero and Blink payment platforms.

Adding your Blink page to a Xero invoice

Blink

Navigate to the Customiser page in the Customer centre section and locate the relevant Blink page you want to link to your Xero invoices and copy the Xero URL.

Sign in to your Xero account on a separate tab, click on your organisation name, select Settings, and then click Payment services.

Click on settings and Payment services

Settings

Payment services

Select Additional payment services - Add other and click on Custom payment URL. A pop-up will show up where you can paste the Xero URL and fill in Blink page details .

Additional payment services - Add Other & paste Xero URL

Click on Additional payment services - Add other and on Custom payment URL.

Fill in the pop-up below. Enter the desired name for the payment method, paste the Xero URL link from the customiser, and choose the wording for the button.

In the platform's customiser, you can specify the names of fields and whether they are required or read-only in the Modify Field section.

Choose to make fields required and read only.

Once filled in, you can find Blink under your connected payment services. Click on manage themes select Blink under the Credit Card option and click save.

 Branding themes

Under connected payment services, you can select Blink to be used for each branding theme and click save.

Add Blink to your invoice.

Once you have added Blink as your standard payment service, it will be automatically applied to invoices using the template.

Fill in your invoice as required, and send it off.

 Manage Online Payments

Once added, Xero will automatically add a Pay now button on the online invoice. You can then email the invoice to the customer who uses this button to pay you via the payment service. They don’t need to have an Xero login to do this.

In classic invoicing, you can do this from an approved invoice or a repeating invoice template. In new invoicing, do this from a draft or approved template.

 Invoice example

Once clicked on Pay now the customer will be linked to the online invoice; clicking once more on Pay now will take them to the relevant Blink Page.
