What is considered a change of legal entity?
A change of legal entity is when the entity that’s responsible for the activities performed under UKAS accreditation undergoes a change, financially and legally.
If you change your legal entity, we will submit a new application to the bank and obtain a fresh merchant ID. Once everything, such as assets, and gateways, is transferred and the new account is live, the old account can be closed to avoid additional charges. Please note that there is a £250 admin fee per new merchant account.

Company registration number.
The company’s legal entity name.
VAT number.
Main point of contact details, i.e. name, mobile/phone number, email address.
2 Director’s date of birth and residential address.
Trading Name for the new MID.
Trading Address for MID.
Proof of banking, i.e., a bank statement that shows the date, company legal name, sort code, account number, and IBAN.
Proof of trading address, i.e. utility bill showing business trading name and address.
Business annual turnover.
CTO (Card Turnover).
ATV (Average Transaction Value).
Would you like to switch over any assets, or are there any additional ones you’d like to lease, such as terminals, gateways or a new Blink plan?
Confirmation of MID type - eCommerce, card present, card not present?
Split of MID, i.e. 90% ECOM, 5% CP, 5% CNP.
Please provide identification documents for the signatory and non-British national directors, such as a passport, driver's license, or ID card.
