Direct | the payment gateway is hard coded into the website and all the payment information runs through your server (not recommended due to security issues) |
Hosted | customer is redirected off site to a payment gateway; very secure method |
iFrame | the payment gateway itself redirects off site but is included in a frame on the website so it has the look of a direct integration (but none of the security issues) |
